This an 18 days safari itinerary, taking you through the most finest and famous National parks, Lodges and other top destinations in Kenya and Tanzania. This include the famous Masai Mara National reserve, Samburu National park, Lake Nakuru National park, Serengeti National reserve, Ngorongoro crater, Lake Manyara and finally to the white sandy beaches of Zanzibar. It is a holiday full of a lifetime experience in the jungle, wilderness and on the sandy beaches. It gives you the opportunity to view all the Big Five wild animals, the great migration, thousands of birds species and many more.

Kenya - Tanzania safari Holiday

Summary

This an 18 days wildlife watching safari and beach holiday, that start in Kenya and ends in Zanzibar; the tour begins with a Nairobi city excursion, then wildlife watching at Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Samburu national park; then cross over to Tanzania, where you will continue watching wildlife in Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara before head south for a sunshine beach holiday in Zanzibar. This a popular holiday circuit for wildlife and beach lovers, on this itinerary; you will have the opportunity to watch thousands of wildlife that include all the big five, wildebeest migration, hundreds of bird species and spending quality time on the beach.

Day 1: Nairobi

On this day you will be picked from the airport or on an agreed venue in Nairobi, and transferred to Fairmont the Norfolk hotel; where you will check in, have lunch and a brief rest. In the afternoon,you will have a Nairobi city tour to major attractions within the city and then extend to the Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe center.

David Sheldricks Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe center are conservation projects and wildlife trust where people get to view animals at a closer proximity and learn about them. They take young orphan elephants, giraffe and rhinos; take care of them until they are enough then release back to the national parks.

Fairmont the Norfolk hotel is a beautiful historical hotel within Nairobi city and dates back to the colonial days; it was a central meeting place for the British and a safari starting point. Today the hotel has been uplifted to modern style hotel offering exceptional services, facilities and accommodation. It is an ideal destination for business trip and conferences, safari holiday, short stay, leisure and stop over.

Day 2-3 : Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast we drive for about 3hrs to Sweet-water tented camp in Ol Pejeta Conservancy; on arrival you will check in, have lunch and a brief rest before going for your first evening game tour. Sweetwater tented camp is located inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy; it has 39 luxury tented camps with a private veranda overlooking a central waterhole that attracts wide range of wildlife, it also has a superb swimming pool with an extensive open ground for kids to play around and camel rides.

The following day, you will visit Sweetwaters Rhino Sanctuary; where you will learn about Rhinos, how they are brought up, their characters and behavior. In the afternoon, you will visit the chimpanzee sanctuary and end the day with an evening game drive within the reserve. Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a non profit organization that aims at conserving wildlife and it’s environ; today Ol Pajeta is said to have the largest black Rhino sanctuary, the only place in Kenya to view Chimpanzees and also home to the 'Big five'(lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo and rhino).

Day 4 : Ol Pejeta Conservancy to Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, you will drive through the beautiful landscapes in Laikipia, passing through the Equator, viewing Mount Kenya and Thompson falls; down to Lake Nakuru National park. On arrival, you will have an easy game drive through the park to Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, where you check in, have lunch and a brief rest before embarking on an evening game drive. Lake Nakuru National park is one of the outstanding lakes in Africa, it's shallow waters and alkaline concentrate attracts millions of pink flamingos, water bucks and other bird species; other major attractions includes the white and black Rhinos, Buffaloes, Monkeys, giraffes, Antelopes and warthogs.

Day 5-6: Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara

After breakfast, you will drive through the park to the Lanet exit gate, where you will check out and proceed with the drive to the famous Masai Mara; on arrival, you will be transferred to Mara Intrepids; where you will check in, have lunch and a brief rest before embarking on an evening game drive. Masai Mara is without a doubt one of the top wildlife national parks in Africa, it's home to thousands of wildlife that include all the ‘ Big Five’, the famous wildebeest migration, hundreds of bird species and beautiful landscapes.

The following day after breakfast, you will leave the lodge with a packed picnic lunch; have a morning game drive, then go for a midday cultural visit to the Masai Villages; where you will have an insight view of the local Masai people and their unique traditions and way of living. After that you will have a bush picnic lunch, then return to an evening game drive that will extend to the Mara River to watch the large hippos and crocodiles basking on the river banks.

Day 7: Masai Mara to Serengeti

On this day after breakfast, you will leave the lodge with a packed lunch, drive through the park to the Kenya-Tanzania border at Isebania; here you will clear with the boarder agency, then meet our Tanzanian tour guide who will drive you to Serengeti Serena Lodge; where you will spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the beautiful landscapes.Serengeti Serena Lodge is a beautiful large safari lodge located on the central areas of Serengeti, it is nicely set on a hilltop overlooking the open plains full of wildlife and it's an ideal destination; for large and small group safari holiday, families, corporate team building and photographers.

Day 8-9: Explore Serengeti National Reserve

On this day, you will have a morning and evening game drive, with a midday break that will be left on you to relax and enjoy various spa treatments on offer. Serengeti national reserve is a famous safari national park, well known for its large numbers of wildlife, beautiful landscapes and home to the great migration.

The following day after breakfast, you will leave the lodge with a packed picnic lunch; have a morning game drive, then go for a midday cultural visit to the Villages; where you will have an insight view of the local people and their unique traditions and way of living. After that you will have a bush picnic lunch, then return to an evening game drive and try to spot all the big five, more birds and other wildlife.

Day 10-11: Tour Ngorongoro Crater

On this day after breakfast, you will leave the hotel with a picnic lunch, drive southwest to Ngorongoro national reserve, on arrival; you will have a game drive through the park watching various wildlife and beautiful landscapes, then have a bush picnic lunch and then continue with the drive through the park to Kitela Lodge; where you will spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying various spa treatments and hotel amenities.

The following day, you will have a morning and evening game drive, extending the drive to Ngorongoro Crater to watch more wildlife. Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact caldera crater situated along the rift valley north of Tanzania and has a spectacular bowl shape of about 265 sq km and side height of about 600m; the crater is home to over 30,000 wild animals.

Day12, Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara

After breakfast take a long drive south to Lake Manyara national park the home to the tree climbing Lions, on the way pass through Olduvia Gorge, a historically known as the spot where some of the earliest remains of mankind were discovered. On arrival, you will be transferred to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge; where you will check in, have lunch and a brief rest before going on an afternoon lake excursion. Lake Manyara is a small but pretty national park situated between the Rift Valley escarpment and the large sodiforous lake on the road to Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti national reserve.

Lake Manyara Serena Lodge is located on the rift valley escarpment north of Lake Manyara, it's a large safari lodge; that is owned and run by Serena group of hotels, it's ideal for large and small group safari holiday, corporate team building and road stop over en-route to Ngorongoro and Serengeti.

Day 13, Lake Manyara to Arusha

On this day, you will leave Lake Manyara, drive north to Arusha town; on arrival you will be transferred to Arusha Hotel. In the evening, you will have a small Arusha town tour and then return to the hotel.

Arusha Hotel is a beautiful historical hotel situated within Arusha town; the hotel has a colonial architectural design and was recently uplifted to modern style hotel, offering exceptional services, facilities and accommodation. It is an ideal destination for business trip and conferences, safari holiday, short stay, leisure and Arusha stop over.

Do an early morning game drive, return to the hotel for breakfast and a brief rest then drive to Kilimanjaro airport for a flight to Zanzibar;

Day 14 – 17: Zanzibar

On this day after breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar; on arrival you will be received by our representative who will transfer you to Pongwe Beach Hotel, where you will spend the four days; enjoying various beach activities on offer or just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful sunshine and the white sandy beaches of Zanzibar. Zanzibar is a supreme outdoor destination, where Fishing is encouraged, scuba diving, Water skiing, jet skiing, kite surfing, sailing and many other beach activities.

Pongwe Beach Hotel is located near the village of Pongwe on the northeast coast of Zanzibar; it's small fabulous beach hotel owned by a British couple and located on a secluded cove area, surrounded by palm trees and beautiful beach front. The lodge itself is simple and unpretentious, with a single large open-sided public area, sixteen rooms in two and three bedroom thatched buildings, a lovely pool up above the lagoon, hammocks and loungers down on the gorgeous beach.

Zanzibar has a very rich history that dates back to the 16th century; major attractions include visiting the historical Stonetown, going on a Dolphin Tour, visit Jozani Forest the home to the Red Columbus Monkey or go on a spice tour with detailed information about locally grown herbs and spices. If you have an urge for discotheques or night clubs, you will find them scattered along the coast offering the best night life.

Day 18, End of the Holiday

On this days at around 10 am, you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight.
