Safari and Beach Tour

This a 14 days safari and beach holiday in Kenya, that begins with a Nairobi city excursion, then followed by a wildlife watching tour to the famous Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli and Tsavo national park. After that, transfer to Mombasa (South Coast) -where you will spend a couple of days relaxing on the white sandy beach. On this itinerary, you will have the opportunity to watch thousands of wildlife including all the big five and the great migration, hundreds of bird species, cultural tour and relaxing on the white sandy beaches of Diani.

Summary

This a 14 days safari and beach holiday in Kenya; the holiday begins and ends in Nairobi, it starts with a small Nairobi city tour, then proceed to Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha to watch birds, the white Rhinos and other lesser wildlife, then head down to the famous Masai Mara, Amboseli and Tsavo national park. Then wind up with a few days on the white sandy beaches of Diani; it’s a great itinerary with opportunity to see  thousands of wildlife that include all the big five, wildebeest migration, hundreds of bird species among other attractions in Kenya.

Day 1: Arrival

On this day you will be picked at the airport or on an agreed venue in Nairobi, briefed/updated about your holiday tour and then transferred to your Hotel in Nairobi; where you will spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying various treats on offer at the hotel.

Day 2: Explore Nairobi

After breakfast will start by visiting the snake park museum; here you will be able to see different kind of snakes; then proceed to Nairobi animal Orphanage, here you will see how young orphan animals are taken care off and how they behave, this could be a good time to get close to wild animals and learn one or two things about them. We will then drive to Carnival restaurant for lunch and a brief rest.

In the afternoon, we will proceed to the Giraffe center, where the Rothschild giraffe lives, here you can get on an elevated platform to view and feed the giraffes.

Day 3: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru

On this day after breakfast, you will drive through the beautiful Great Rift Valley escapements down to Lake Nakuru, On arrival, you will be driven to your hotel where you will have a brief rest to relaxing after the long drive and lunch before going for your evening game drive.
Lake Nakuru National park is one of the outstanding lakes in Africa, it's shallow waters and alkaline concentrate attracts millions of pink flamingos, water bucks and other bird species; other major attractions includes the white and black Rhinos, Buffaloes, Monkeys, giraffes, Antelopes and warthogs.

Day 4: Tour Lake Nakuru

On this day after breakfast, you will have a morning game drive around the Lake to watch the beautiful lake full of birds, surrounded by huge acacia trees, then drive up to the observation hill, the Rhino sanctuary among other attraction on the Lake. After that you will then return to the lodge for a midday break. In the afternoon you will drive through the park to the Lanet exit gate, where you will check out and proceed to Lake Naivasha; on arrival you will be transferred to your hotel where you will spend the rest of the day either relaxing and enjoying various Spa treats and amenities on offer or playing golf or going on a nature walk.

Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake located just outside Naivasha town; its part of the Great Rift Valley Lakes that attracts millions of birds annually. Major attractions includes boat riding across the lake to watch bird, hippos, monkeys; playing golf, hiking at Hell's Gate, horse riding, fishing, cycling, camping among many other.

Day 5: Tour Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, you will have a boat Lake Excursion taking you through major attraction on the lake; watching different bird species, crocodiles, hippos and other lesser wildlife. After that you will return to the lodge for lunch and a brief rest, then transfer to Masai Mara. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you spend the rest of the day on your private balcony relaxing with a cold drink and admiring the beautiful open plains of Mara full of wildlife.

Masai Mara is without a doubt one of the top wildlife national parks in Africa, it's home to thousands of wildlife that include all the ‘Big Five’, the famous wildebeest migration, hundreds of bird species, a rich culture from the famous Masai people and the beautiful landscapes.

Day 6-7 Explore the famous Masai Mara

On this day, you will have an early morning game drive (animals are usually out early in search of food before the temperatures gets hot); here you will have the opportunity to see the big Cats as they hunt down prey before the sun is hot and animals go to hiding. In the afternoon, you will extend the drive to Mara River to watch the large hippos and crocodiles basking on the river banks and if the timing is right; you may experience the great wildebeest migration crossing the Mara River.

The following day, you will leave the lodge with a packed picnic lunch; have a morning game drive, then go for a midday cultural visit to the Masai Villages; where the Masai people will teach you about their culture and way of living, entertain you with a few traditional songs, engage you in some of their day’s activities like spear throwing, milking cows and goats, taking photographs with them in their Masai bright red costumes, sword and clubs. After that you will embark on an evening game drive before returning to the hotel.

Day 8: Mara to Amboseli

After breakfast, you will drive through the park to the exit gate, where you will check out and proceed to Amboseli National Park; on the way you will have a lunch stop-over at Nairobi Carnival restaurant, then proceed to your hotel in Amboseli, where you spend the rest of the day relaxing and admiring the stunning views and wildlife from your private balcony.

Amboseli National Park lies at the north west of Mt. Kilimanjaro, on the Kenyan and Tanzania border, it’s a famous park; well known for its large herds of elephants, beautiful landscapes and stunning view of Mount Kilimanjaro, an ideal destination for wildlife watching, nature excursions, photography tours.

Day 9: Watch more wildlife at Amboseli

On this day you will wake up early and try to catch a good view of Mount Kilimanjaro’s peak, then head out for you morning game drive to watch more wildlife that include the huge elephants that are famous in Amboseli, then return to the Hotel for lunch and a brief rest. In the afternoon, you will have another game drive, extending the drive to Amboseli observation hill and the swamp area to view more wild animals and birds.

Day 10: Amboseli to Tsavo

On this day after breakfast, you will drive through the park, watching the beautiful landscapes full of wildlife to Tsavo national park. On arrival you will be driven to your hotel where you spend the rest of the day relaxing and admiring the stunning views and wildlife from your private balcony.

Day 11: Tsavo to Diani Beach

On this day after breakfast, you will have a morning game drive, then return to the hotel for a brief rest and early lunch, then to Diani Beach (south coast). On arrival you will be driven to your hotel in Diani, where you will spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach and enjoying various Spa treats or have a sunset walk along the beach to familiarize yourself with the area.

Day 12-13: Time to relax on the Beach

The following two days will be left on you, to relax and dust off from the safari drive; you would either choose to relax in the hotel enjoying various Spa treats and amenities, or on the beach, by the pool side or engage in any of the water activities on offer. Diani is a supreme outdoor destination, where Fishing is encouraged, scuba diving, Water skiing, jet skiing, kite surfing, sailing and many other beach activities.

Diani Beach is one of Kenya’s largest and top beach, located on the southern part of Mombasa city (about 30km); the beach is over 10km long, from Kongo River to the north and Galu Beach on the south. The beach has clean and shallow waters at the shore, with underwater sandbars near the surface which allow wading with a clear view of the white sand.

Day 14: End of the Holiday

Enjoy one last breakfast at the hotel before you are transferred to Moi international airport for your return flight.
