Chui Lodge

Chui Lodge is a rustic safari Lodge situated south east of Lake Naivasha along the Great Rift Valley, it’s a spacious and secluded lodge set on a private sanctuary surrounded by stunning landscapes and full of wildlife; a small intimate safari lodge with only 8 separate cottages and plenty of wilderness activities. A great place for family and private getaway, honeymoon and small group safari.

Chui Lodge

Chui Lodge is nicely perched on the Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary overlooking the beautiful hills and valleys of the Mau Escarpment in the Rift Valley; it’s a luxury lodge stylishly designed to capture all elements of African wilderness and safari; the lodge is nicely secluded on 18,000 acres of private wildlife sanctuary and offers comfortable accommodation, excellent services and hotel facilities.

Accommodation at Chui Lodge is in 8 en-suite cottages that are nicely spaced for privacy and beautifully designed overlooking a waterhole and Mau Escarpment that attracts wildlife close to the Lodge, the cottages are beautifully furnished with a king/twin size bed, a mosquito net, an en-suite bathroom, a dressing area, a lounge area and private balcony.

Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary is a private wildlife sanctuary that began as a farm in 1969 owned and run by Hans Zwager and his wife, later the family expanded the firm and converted it to a wildlife conservancy with enough space for a few guest to enjoy nature and wildlife; the sanctuary is home to various wildlife that include hundreds of birds species, buffaloes, white rhino, cheetah, zebra, oryx, gazelle among many others.

Meals at Chui Lodge are prepared from locally fresh organic products and spices, the menu combines African and western cuisines with additional fun dishes for kids. The meals are served at the main dining room, under the shady euphorbia trees or on a private nicely set candle lite bush table (on request).

Facilities and Activities

Hotel facilities at Chui Lodge include miles of wilderness to explore and watch wildlife, a waterhole that attracts wildlife close to the lodge especially on dry season, a heated swimming pool, an indoor and outdoor lounge area, an open fire place, honeymoon and Family cottage, a cozy bar, outdoor games area, a comfortable sitting and dining room. Additional services include laundry, airstrip transfer and baby-sitting services (on prearrangement).

Activities would include relaxing at the Lodge and enjoying various spa treatments on offer, day and night game drives, boat lake excursions, guided safari and nature walks, bird watching trips, bush breakfast and sun-downer candle lit dinners, hiking and mountain climbing , horse riding, playing golf and local cultural visits.

Getting there

Chui Lodge is about 20 kilometers from the Nairobi – Nakuru highway; 1½ hours’ drive from Nairobi, 25 minutes from Naivasha town and 25 minutes via helicopters or chartered flight from Nairobi. There are daily scheduled/chartered flights from Nairobi en-route to the famous Masai Mara, Mombasa, Samburu among other major attractions in Kenya.
