This a one day tour of attractions in Arusha Town, taking you to Cultural Heritage Centre, where you will learn about the different tribes in Tanzania. Then visit the Shanga Center, the Masai Craft Market and finally the Meserani Snake Park. This itinerary is centered more on the rich history of the Tanzanian cultures, wildlife and attractions in Arusha.
On this day at around 8am, you will be picked at an agreed venue in Arusha, take a quick drive of Arusha Town, and then head to the Cultural Heritage Center; here you will spend about two hours watching and learning about the 120 past and present tribes in Tanzania, the private collection of historical artwork, carvings, artifacts and gemstones. After that you will then be driven to the Shanga center; it’s an African artifacts and fabric center, set up to empower the disabled people, here you will have the opportunity to see how some of the African souvenirs are made from the local row materials.
After that, you will be driven to a local restaurant for lunch and a brief rest, then visit the Masai Craft Market; it’s a huge open air market, with various African artwork, carvings, artifacts and gemstones, here you will have the opportunity to haggle down your souvenir price, socialize with the locals as you learn different types of African souvenirs. You will then continue to Meserani Snake Park; where you will have an opportunity to get close to different kind of snakes, get to learn about them and their inhabitant. At around 4:30pm, you will then be driven back to an agreed venue in Arusha.
