The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille

The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille is a luxury top end safari lodge situated on a private community owned Kijabe Group Ranch on the far northern escarpment of the Laikipia Plateau, the conservancy is home to the endangered African wild dog, elephants, greater kudu, leopard, striped and spotted hyena, klipspringer among other lesser wildlife. The Sanctuary has four luxury houses/villas and a separate bush tented camp (Ol Lentille Camp) located at the river banks.

The four very unique self-contained houses and the camp can accommodated between 2 to 6 guests; each house has a butler, a chef, a tour guide and a security guard. Each house is designed to represent a particular theme around the African history and has a fully equipped kitchen, a suite bathroom, a dining area, a sitting room, a courtyard, a small garden, an outdoor viewing deck and a private pool.

Meals at Ol Lentille Sanctuary are prepared from locally fresh organic products and spices, the menu combines African and western cuisines with additional fun dishes for kids. The meals are served at the dining area or on a private nicely set candle lite bush table (on request).

Additional hotel facilities at Ol Lentille Sanctuary includes a swimming pool, indoor dining area and sun-downer dining deck, Spa and wellness center, a library and club room, a viewing deck with GPs telescope, a gift and gallery shop, a family and honeymoon villa. Additional services include laundry and baby-sitting services.

Activities would include early morning peak viewing of Mount Kenya, morning and evening game drives, guided safari and nature walks, bird watching trips, bush breakfast and sun-downer candle lit dinner, cultural visit to the neighboring community, light aircraft and helicopter flying safari, Camel riding, Mountain biking, kayaking and river rafting, fishing, swimming, enjoying various Spa treatments or just relax and enjoy the stunning views from the camp while reading your favorite book.

Getting there

The best and easiest way to get to The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille is flying to Nanyuki airstrip then a 1½ hours’ drive to the Lodge or chartered flight direct to the Lodge, there are scheduled flights from Nairobi to Nanyuki. By road is approximately 4 hours’ drive from Nairobi.
