Diani Beach is among the largest and top beaches in Kenya, located along the Indian Ocean south of Mombasa City (about 30km). The beach is over 10km long, from Kongo River on the north to Galu Beach on . It's a beautiful clean and shallow water beach with underwater sandbars near the surface which allow wading with a clear view of the white sand. Other beaches within the area include Tiwi Beach, Galu Beach, Chale Island, Funzi Island and Kinondo beach.

The easiest and quickest way to get to Diani beach is flying to Ukunda airport and then take a ten minutes drive to Diani beach, there are scheduled flights from Nairobi(Wilson airport) to Diani, the other alternative is flying to Moi international airport in Mombasa and then driving to Diani beach (about 35 minutes drive). By road from Mombasa town, it would include taking a ferry to cross over from Mombasa Island to South Coast; the ferry takes roughly ten minutes to cross over but depending with the queue on rush hours and on busy seasons, you may be forced to wait up to an hour to board the ferry, from there it’s roughly a 30 minutes drive to Diani beach.
From Nairobi to Mombasa, you can either use a train, public buses or hired private cars to Mombasa then take a taxi to Diani beach.
