Tiwi Beach is located on the south coast of Kenya and was among the first places to offer beach holiday accommodation along African coastline. Tiwi beach is only 20 kilometers south of Mombasa and just 15 minute drive to the famous Diani beach. It’s has clean and clear beach waters and is less crowded with a shallow shoreline. A great place for family beach holiday, honeymoons, outdoor weddings or private holidays.
Major activities at Tiwi beach would include; relaxing and enjoying various spa treatments, swimming, sailing trips for deep sea diving, snorkeling, water skating, scuba diving, fishing and boat riding among others.
Other attractions include visiting nearby Shimba Hills National Reserve to watch wildlife or going on a Mombasa city excursion to see the famous historical museums, Fort Jesus, Haller park among other attractions in Mombasa.

The climate at Tiwi Beach is relatively hot and dry throughout the year, there are short rains between late March – May and in November; the best time to visit would be between June and March.
The easiest and quickest way to get to Tiwi beach is flying to Ukunda airport and then take a 15 minutes drive to Diani beach, there are scheduled flights from Nairobi (Wilson airport) to Ukunda airstrip, the other alternative is flying to Moi international airport in Mombasa and then driving to Tiwi beach (about 25 minutes drive).
By road from Mombasa town, it would include taking a ferry to cross over from Mombasa Island to South Coast; the ferry takes roughly ten minutes to cross over but depending with the queue on rush hours and on busy seasons, you may be forced to wait up to an hour to board the ferry, from there it’s roughly a 15 minutes drive to Tiwi beach. From Nairobi to Mombasa, you can either use a train, public buses or hired private cars to Mombasa then take a taxi to Tiwi beach.
